Coventry City Council have selected Appleyard & Trew to project and cost manage their new 50m pool at the Alan Higgs Centre. This commission continues an ongoing relationship with delivering new sports facilities for the City since 2005.

SIS TV refurbishment GOES LIVE!

Latest Phase Completed for Leading Outside Sports Broadcaster

Appleyard & Trew have successfully handed over the latest phase of the refurbishment works for SIS TV in Milton Keynes; one of the biggest outside sports broadcasters in the country. The sensitive nature of the studios and systems were a challenging environment, but the new works were successfully delivered to provide modern office, support and reception facilities.

Northenden Golf Club - Rebuilt and Driving New Business

Northenden Golf Clubhouse has been rebuilt and opened for business again in the Summer 2016; the new storey facility replaces the old Clubhouse that was destroyed by fire in 2014. Appleyard & Trew provided Project Management and Quantity Surveying services to the Club, with the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon performed by the Ryder Cup team member Jamie Donaldson on 19 July 2016.

National Trust Restoration Blooming

£2M Phase 2 of Quarry Bank Project Underway

December 2016 saw the completion of ‘Phase 1 – The Upper Garden’ of the National Trust’s Quarry Bank Project which included the £1.8 million contract to restore the cast iron glasshouse, rebuild/refurbishment of associated back sheds, provision of new gardeners compound, new temporary catering facility, builders work to walled garden to allow National Trust gardeners and volunteers to plant and maintain the gardens.

Phase 2 of the project started on site late 2016, with the £2 million contract to develop the existing car park and provision of a new Welcome Building and Orientation Point.

Thames Side Path Extension for the Royal Borough of Greenwich

The Royal Borough of Greenwich have appointed Appleyard & Trew to provide Project Management services for their extension to the Thames side path known as the ‘missing link’. A new section of walkway and cycle path is to be located on top of the river wall, involving complex maritime working in close proximity to the Thames Barrier.

 

£26M Blackpool Museum Appointment

Historic Winter Gardens to be Home for New Iconic Attraction

Appleyard & Trew have been appointed Quantity Surveyors for the Blackpool Museum Project, based in the Pavilion Theatre within the Winter Gardens. This new £26 million Museum for Blackpool will tell the story of the nation’s favourite seaside destination and its role in the development of British popular culture.

Appleyard & Trew are supporting the England Lacrosse Team in their bid to win the World Lacrosse Championships being held in Denver, USA from 10th to 19th July 2014. Andrew Baxter from our Manchester Office was successful in being selected to represent his country again having previously played in the 2010 World Championships and 2012 European championships. 

 

RIBA AWARD FOR EVERYMAN THEATRE, LIVERPOOL

£13.3 MILLION REDEVELOPMENT COMPLETE

The redevelopment of the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool has won an RIBA National Award. Appleyard & Trew acted as Fund Monitor for the Arts Council England for the £13.3 million project which was completed in March 2014.

 

'EAT' HUNGRY FOR MORE SUCCESS

65 SITES SET FOR COMPLETION IN 2014

We have been appointed by EAT to provide Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor services on the refurbishment of the entire EAT chain. Since the beginning of 2014, we have completed approximately 45 sites nationally, with approximately 65 sites to be completed be the end of the year.

£30 MILLION 1ST STAGE COMPLETE AT BRENTFORD

BRENTFORD LOCK WEST: ISIS WATERSIDE REGENERATION

Construction work has progressed significantly on this canal side residential development in Brentford, comprising a collection of 150nr 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments and townhouses. The marketing suite received higher than expected interest in this scheme, such that plans are already underway for phase 2 on site this year. The initial apartments within the £30 million first phase have now been completed.

£7.5 MILLION BISHAM ABBEY REDEVELOPMENT COMPLETE

LOTTERY FUNDED WORLD CLASS NATIONAL SPORTS CENTRE

The £7.5 million lottery funded redevelopment of Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre is complete. Appleyard & Trew were Employer’s Agent on the scheme managed by Serco, on behalf of Sport England. The redevelopment provides world class sporting facilities, a 3G FIFA 1 Star pitch, a full size Desso and full size grass pitch.  Complimenting the above is a new 100nr bed accommodation block for residential athletes and squads.

NEW PROCUREMENT SYSTEM FOR CARAVAN CLUB

THE CARAVAN CLUB

Appointed by the Caravan Club to implement a new procurement system. Appleyard & Trew developed a typical schedule of rates for projects which were tendered with resultant rates being formalised across the UK. Works are being project managed by Appleyard & Trew and implemented on sites across the Country during the winter months to minimise disruption to sites during peak periods.

 

 

RAISING A GLASS TO RATHFINNEY IN SUSSEX!

1ST STAGE COMPLETED OF NEW £9 MILLION WINERY

Appleyard & Trew have provided Employer’s Agent, Quantity Surveying and CDM Co-ordination services to the Rathfinney Estate on the new Winery in East Sussex. The initial phase of £9 million providing a new processing building and hostel accommodation for workers is now complete. The facility is capable of producing over 1 million bottles a year.

BRANCHING OUT IN YORKSHIRE

SIX YEAR FRAMEWORK QS APPOINTMENT

Appleyard & Trew are appointed by the Yorkshire Building Society as one of their Framework Quantity Surveyors, for their branch development programme. The agreement runs from 2014 – 2019 with refurbishments varying on a site by site basis of between £70,000 - £500,000 per site.

 

LIVERPOOL'S JEWEL IN THE CROWN!

EVERTON LIBRARY, LIVERPOOL

Appleyard & Trew have been appointed by the Jewel on the Hill Buildings Preservation Trust Ltd to provide quantity surveying services for the sensitive conservation repair of the Grade II listed, former Everton Library on St.Domingo Road in Everton, Liverpool. A Stage 1 pass has been awarded by the Heritage Lottery Fund () and the design team is now required to develop the scheme for Stage 2 application to the HLF.

EPS FRAMEWORK SUCCESS

As part of the North West Construction Hub, Appleyard & Trew are appointed as Quantity Surveying consultant to the Engineering and Professional Services Framework which is hosted, managed and administered by Manchester City Council. Appleyard & Trew have been appointed via this Framework by Wigan & Leigh Housing Trust to deliver new build affordable housing schemes in Hindley Green and Whelley, Wigan. 

 

‘BEST RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT’ RICS AWARD WINNER

GREENHEYS DEVELOPMENT, MANCHESTER

New build mixed development of 65nr new dwellings (24nr for rent, 28nr for shared ownership, 13nr for sale).  The completed development is a mixture of family housing and flats and includes an adopted public square with artwork features. The new square has been named in honour of the local connection with the author Elizabeth Gaskell to mark the 200th anniversary of her birth. Winner of the ‘Best Residential Development’, North West Award at the RICS Awards.
