Quarry Bank Project

Appleyard & Trew were appointed as Quantity Surveyor for the delivery of the National Trust’s Quarry Bank Project at Styal. The project was part funded by the NLHF and delivered in distinct packages over a number of years in order to facilitate continued operation of the facility and funding availability.

The project involved repairs and refurbishment of a range of buildings on the site, redevelopment of the car park and the creation of a new welcome building.

  • Package 1 – The Upper Garden including refurbishment of a cast iron glasshouse
  • Package 2 – Car Park and New Welcome Building
  • Package 4 – Styal Village Properties and Quarry Bank House
  • Package 5 – The Mill & Yard including specialist exhibition/interpretation fit out
