ARTS & CULTURE Case Study

York Art Gallery

Works to the Grade II listed building comprised a full refurbishment of all areas, the opening up of the magnificent partially glazed barrel vault roof and the insertion of a new floating mezzanine floor to create a new level named the Secret Gallery.  Internal works were fully refurbished or replaced including new timber floors, doors and fittings. New facilities were incorporated for an art workshop, resource and learning areas and an art store.
